Maverik looks down. In his palm isn't a glowing seed. It’s a single, slightly squashed corncob.

Maverik slips on mud, lands flat on his back. Lys stands over him, soaked, hair plastered to her face.
The pun hangs in the air.
In awe.
Maverik looks at the cob. Then back at Lys. His voice is tiny. The quest was simple: retrieve the "Starlight Seed"
Lys follows his gaze. Her smirk fades into wonder.
"…We're never telling anyone about this," Lys says. Maverik looks down
Lys raises an eyebrow. "You went in, fought through a hundred crows, disarmed a living hay bale… and you came back with that ?"
