I turned to page 14. Another note.
I stopped scrolling.
"Day 16. I fainted at the grocery store. The cashier gave me a candy bar. I ate it in the parking lot like a criminal. Then I made myself throw up in the bushes. When I got home, R. asked if I bought the chicken breast. I said yes. I lied." Buku Diet Cookbook Yulia Baltschun Pdf
The first result was a dead link on a defunct Indonesian blog. The second was a shadow library with a broken preview. But the third… the third was a PDF cached on an old diet forum, last active in 2018. I clicked.
I just tasted.
The final page, page 43, was not a recipe. It was a screenshot of a blog comment, from a user named HealthyMama2009 :
Page 19:
"Baltschun, Yulia A. — Age 31. Passed peacefully at home. Survived by no immediate family. Donations to eating disorder awareness."
But the PDF continued past page 31. Page 32 was blank. Page 33: a photo of a kitchen counter. A half-empty glass of water. A blister pack of antidepressants. A sticky note that said: "Don't forget to eat today, Yulia. You matter more than his silence." I turned to page 14
And for the first time in years, I didn't calculate the calories.
