The plot kicks into gear when the evil scientist creates a purple mutagen canister. Shredder, the leader of the Foot Clan, escapes police custody with help from Bebop and Rocksteady (two henchmen mutated into a warthog and a rhinoceros). Shredder acquires the mutagen and opens a portal to bring the alien warrior Krang and his Technodrome to Earth.
