What follows is not a horror film, but a coming-of-age rom-com wrapped in gore. The "Creature" doesn’t speak; he grunts, nods, and dismembers anyone who wrongs Lisa. It is Heathers meets Weird Science meets Edward Scissorhands .
To the uninitiated, it looks like gibberish. To the cinephile, it is a promise of technical perfection. To the copyright lawyer, it is a cease-and-desist waiting to happen.
