For a manga aimed at children, Kanto Adventures pushes boundaries that would never appear in the modern anime or games. There is genuine peril. Characters bleed. This isn’t the grounded tactical world of Pokémon Adventures ; it’s a shonen action-comedy that remembers to have fun.
