Install alsa-tools-gui and run:

cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 | grep Codec EasyEffects can apply system-wide EQ, bass enhancement, virtual surround, loudness normalization, etc. Install EasyEffects Ubuntu/Debian:

lspci -v | grep -i audio If you see Realtek ALCxxx with Waves MaxxAudio mentioned in Windows, you have the hardware. waves maxxaudio pro linux

pactl info | grep "Server Name" If you see PipeWire , good. If not, consider switching (distro dependent). Sometimes the raw hardware needs a mixer fix.
