Linh’s laptop screen glows in the dark room. The KUWTK intro plays—Kris Jenner in sunglasses, Kourtney holding a smoothie, Kim crying over a lost earring. At the bottom of the screen, white Vietnamese subtitles scroll by: “Tôi cảm thấy như mình bị phản bội… bởi chính chị gái mình.” (“I feel like I’ve been betrayed… by my own sister.”) Linh laughs, slurping hủ tiếu noodles. Bà nội (grandma) sleeps on the other bed, snoring softly.
