But for the seasoned digital sculptor, relying solely on the defaults is like painting the Sistine Chapel with a three-inch house brush. To truly breathe life into digital clay, you need to venture outside the factory settings. You need to download custom brushes.
In the hands of a master, ZBrush is a magic lamp. But the genie? That’s the brush.
So, close this article. Open ZBrush. Go to ArtStation or Pixologic’s downloads. Download three brushes you’ve never used before. Load them. And destroy the default cube.
